The committee headed by the former Supreme Court Judge, Justice B.N. Srikrishna, set up to go into the demands for a 'separate Telangana' State and a 'united Andhra Pradesh,' will present its report to the Centre on December 31, last day of its term.
The committee was appointed on February 3 this year, and some of its terms of reference are: to review the developments in Andhra Pradesh since its formation and their impact on the progress and development of the different regions; to examine the impact of the recent developments in the State on women, children, students, minorities, OBCs, SCs and STs; to consult all sections of the people, especially political parties, and elicit their views; to seek from the political parties and other organisations solutions to resolve the present difficult situation and promote the welfare of all sections of people.
