Bill to prevent corruptionby lobbyists proposed

• Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs said it was proposed to introduce a Bill in Parliament to prevent lobbyists from indulging in corruption or scams within the country and abroad.
• The Bill would be framed in conformity with the United Nations Convention against Corruption
• Asked about the steps taken to prevent corruption in high places, the Minister said the Centre was not protecting anyone. Whenever there were complaints, agencies such as the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Directorate had been asked to examine them.
