- Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao is coming on a three-day State visit to India from 15th of this month. The issue of staple visa to the residents of Jammu and Kashmir and China - Pakistan relationship, particularly its policy in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, management of trans-border rivers and better access to Indian pharma and other companies in the Chinese markets are expected to figure prominently in the talks between the visiting dignitary and the Indian leaders.
- The visit takes place after Wen Jiabao held a meeting with the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on the sidelines of East Asia Summit in Hanoi in October this year. Ahead of his visit, the special representatives of the two countries held 14th round of border talks in Beijing.
